 Verified Great Book! The story gets right to it and doesn’t let you go! Love the characters but especially Nina who lives to protect others as she has done with a young desperate teen who at 13 needed someone to take care of her and trusted Nina to do that. Nina now when the girl is 18 is finding it hard to see her start to leave the nest. Maldonado really knows how to write strong women protagonists. Love all of her books.

 Verified Amazing Series This book was suspenseful, exciting, heart stopping, and hard to lay down. I feel like each person on this FBI special team were very real people. The way the team worked together, with each having special skills, supported and enhanced the skills of the others. The only thing I did not like about this series is that I feel like this is the last book. The way she tied up all loose ends sure feels like a last book in a series. I am going to miss each of these characters.Who would I recommend this series too? First, to anyone who loves suspense novels. Second, to anyone who has lived through sever trauma. The way Nina Guerrera learned to cope with her past and learns to trust, and finally realizes she does love deeply and can take down the barriers she has set up to protect herself and let others in.Now I'm going to look at the other books Isabella Maldonado and get back to reading.

 Verified Another Nina Guerrera Gem In my beloved Phoenix, Nina and her team stay after the resolution if a case. No for vacation mind you, but to begin another which eventually becomes the chase of a serial killer. The victim, one.  Verified Excellent read I loved this book. It had a great storyline, well-written and I’ve gotten attached to the characters. Nina continues to grow as a person and season her FBI skills. Having said all this, I did predict some of the storyline and thee type of storyline was a bit of a pet peeve for me and why I no longer read Robert Dugoni’s Tracy Crosswhite series.
